Erosion & Sediment Control Inspector

Job Summary

We are looking for a diligent Erosion & Sediment Control Inspector to join our team in our Wytheville office. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct field inspections for compliance with permits, update construction/project documents, and perform post‑construction inspections.

• Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports related to erosion and sedimentation.
• Review sedimentation and erosion control plans for adherence to regulations.
• Inspect various components such as perimeters, silt fences, sedimentation basins, and grading.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct on‑site inspections to monitor compliance progress and enforcement activities.
• Travel to remote sites as needed for inspections.
• Perform additional duties as required.

• High school diploma required;
  Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• VA DEQ Stormwater and ESC certification required or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and attention to detail abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Self‑starter with a willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsive to inquiries.
