B. Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor of Real Estate who will hold the Blackwood Endowed Chair. This is an exciting opportunity for an established scholar to join a growing department interested in expanding its research, teaching, and service capacity while continuing to build its international reputation. The position is a tenured, academic-year appointment beginning August 10, 2027.

The successful candidate will conduct high-quality research regularly leading to publications in top-tier academic journals such as Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Real Estate Research, and Real Estate Economics. Additionally, the candidate will carry an annual teaching load of three courses (9 credits) in the undergraduate real estate program and engage in service activities that increase awareness of the department in both the academic and professional communities.

Instructional effectiveness and flexibility are essential, as is a willingness to engage in experiential learning activities that prepare undergraduate students for their eventual entry into the workforce.
