CACI is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to support a key program based in Chesapeake, VA as part of our Enterprise Solutions & Services team.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with initiative and the aptitude to learn quickly and apply new skills to technical and procedural challenges. The ability to be adaptable, troubleshoot effectively, and work constructively with a technically diverse team is important. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in systems administration and infrastructure operations while developing broader technical skills over time.

You will join the program's Platform team supporting the servers, cloud infrastructure, security/compliance activities, and enterprise services used by multiple mission-facing applications

Responsibilities:

Support routine infrastructure operations including Windows Server patching, maintenance, and verification

Support IT asset inventory, administrative recordkeeping, and other recurring infrastructure support activities

Process certificate requests and renewals and assist with certificate installation

Execute STIG and other security/compliance scanning tools and support remediation of known findings

Create and maintain Active Directory service accounts, groups, and group-managed service accounts

Install, configure, and verify standard monitoring and systems-management agents

Execute scheduled database refresh procedures and other documented operational tasks

Assist with server build-out, application installation, and infrastructure configuration

Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution for routine infrastructure issues

Support monitoring, maintenance, and operational activities across Windows and cloud environments

Use and modify Power Shell or other scripts to support repeatable operational processes

Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and internal wiki content

Qualifications:

Required:

Meet applicable DoD 8140 requirements through a qualifying technical degree, Security+ CE or other approved certification, or another accepted qualification pathway .Active DoD Secret clearance

Experience with Windows Server administration

Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Basic scripting experience using Power Shell or similar scripting tools

Familiarity with networking concepts including DNS, IP addressing, ports/protocols, routing, SSL/TLS, and load balancing

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to follow documented technical procedures and appropriately escalate complex issues

Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn new technologies

Desired:

Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud services

Familiarity to Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform Exposure to SharePoint Server or Microsoft SQL Server administration

Experience with vulnerability remediation, STIGs, or other DoD security/compliance activities

Experience working with or around DoD networks
