As our Hotel General Manager, you’ll lead all aspects of property operations from guest satisfaction and team development to financial performance and brand standards. In addition to overseeing daily operations, you’ll play a key leadership role by onboarding and mentoring new General Managers across our portfolio.
About the RolePerk:
This position includes a 1‑bedroom on‑site apartment with utilities included, offering convenience and a unique live‑in leadership experience.
- Provide the Revenue Management Department with market analysis and forecasts for competitive rates and local market conditions.
- Support sales efforts and train front desk staff in selling techniques for current promotions.
- Provide input to the annual budget with forecasts of operating expenses and labor costs.
- Use business forecasts to manage labor scheduling, control costs, and maintain utility standards.
- Adjust controllable expenses to maintain profit margins and explain variances.
- Execute company policies and procedures for purchasing.
- Manage employees to deliver quality guest services and achieve revenue and profit goals.
- Train and develop staff in Human Resources programs and guidelines.
- Handle guest complaints and difficult situations, maintaining high satisfaction through Medallia responses.
- Administer human resources policies, payroll, personnel transactions, and ensure fair treatment of employees.
- Conduct wage surveys and provide input to the budget.
- Maintain professional conduct and uphold company policies and ethics.
- Maintain employee satisfaction and manage turnover.
- Protect property by maintaining physical conditions and managing preventative maintenance.
- Maintain product quality as measured by Medallia.
- 3+ years as a Hotel General Manager or equivalent hotel management role.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and perform light lifting.
- Capability to work in fast‑paced and stressful environments, managing multiple interruptions.
- Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism.
- Flexibility in work hours and days.
- Mid‑Senior level leadership experience.
- Experience in Hotels and Motels industry.
- Full‑time employment preference.
- Skills in Sales Management, Employee Training, Operating Expenses, Operations Management, and Hotel Asset Management.
