About The Role
Full‑Time Assistant Branch Manager to support and lead operations at our remote Credit Union branch. In this role, you will guide branch staff, deliver exceptional member service, and help drive branch growth through effective sales leadership. You’ll partner closely with leadership to ensure the branch meets its financial, operational, and service goals. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and creating meaningful member relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service & Sales Leadership (35%) – Lead an effective, consultative sales process that supports excellent member service. Coach staff to identify member needs and recommend appropriate Credit Union products and services.
- Account & Loan Support (25%) – Open new accounts, submit loan applications for processing and decisioning, and communicate outcomes to members clearly and professionally.
- Compliance & Operational Oversight (15%) – Monitor daily branch activity to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. Oversee branch security, transaction accuracy, loan documentation, and error resolution.
- Team Development & Performance Management (10%) – Train new employees, prepare work schedules, and monitor performance. Support staff in meeting or exceeding individual and branch goals.
- Branch Leadership (10%) – Manage the branch, ensuring smooth operations and consistent service delivery.
- Other Duties (5%) – Perform other job‑related responsibilities as assigned to support branch success.
- Experience:
3–5 years of related experience in financial services, retail leadership, or a similar member‑focused environment. - Education:
one of the following- Associate’s degree
- Specialized certification or licensing
- Completion of vendor‑provided training
- Equivalent skills gained through apprenticeship or similar program
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to motivate, influence, and train staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret financial documents and contracts.
Ensure compliance with all federal regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and OFAC requirements. Meet or exceed performance goals related to member satisfaction, transaction accuracy, and sales effectiveness.
Physical & Work Environment- Ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Work performed in a professional office/branch environment.
- Occasional travel to nearby branch locations.
Monday – Friday;
Some Saturdays – One half‑day Saturday a month. Work location and scheduling may vary; operating hours differ by location.
