CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Team in Blacksburg, VA. This is your opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, support impactful environmental projects, and grow your expertise in a supportive, innovative environment.

• Assist with the preparation of environmental documentation, mitigation plans, reporting, and permits for a variety of clients
• Conduct field work, including field investigations, sampling, drilling oversight, and construction operation assistance
• Collect, analyze, and report on geological, hydrological, biological, or other scientific conditions at project sites
• Provide support to senior scientists and/or engineers evaluating the potential impact of federal, state, and local environmental regulations

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field required
• In prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework is preferred, though no prior experience is required
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required; experience with Arc Map or basic GIS mapping is a plus
• Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective scientific discipline
• Strong ability to work in a team environment with effective verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work in the field under various weather conditions and physically navigate diverse environments

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, límite, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
