We developed the first Domain Specific Language (DSL) for fully representing regulatory requirements in AI code. This DSL, deployed with our enterprise platform, enables Norm clients to transform workflows and apply compliance checks at the source of business activities.

Our Software Engineers came from Palantir, Google, Meta, AWS, Harvard, Stanford, and MIT. Our Legal Engineers are from Harvard Law, Stanford Law, Yale Law, Sullivan & Cromwell, Simpson Thacher, Davis Polk, Greenberg Traurig, the SEC, and FINRA.

We have raised $85 million over the past 18 months from top VCs and global institutions, including Vanguard, Blackstone, Bain Capital, Coatue, Craft Ventures, New York Life, Citi, TIAA, and Marc Benioff.

We are hiring Full Stack Engineers at Senior and Staff levels. As a Full Stack Engineer at Norm AI, you will be integral to the development of our AI-driven compliance solutions. You will work directly with all aspects of our code stack.

Product Engineering
:
Product Engineering owns the customer-facing surfaces' of Norm's enterprise application: the workflows, UI, and AI-powered features that make our product indispensable to compliance teams. We're focused on building intuitive, reliable tools that help users get their work done faster and with more confidence.

Full Stack Engineers on the Product Engineering team work across the stack to bring new product ideas to life, partnering closely with design, client engagement, other engineering teams, and users themselves.

Legal Engineering Automation Platform: LEAP is Norm’s proprietary platform for building and configuring AI agents. When a user uploads a document, our agents execute thousands (sometimes tens of thousands) of calls to various language models. LEAP allows subject matter experts to configure our AI to handle a variety of use cases. LEAP strives to give legal professionals access to the latest and greatest in available AI technologies and strategies.

Full Stack Engineers on the LEAP team build complex workflows for legal professionals. Users of LEAP are power users and LEAP engineers often work with users to think about how we can best optimize their day to day usage.

• Work on scaling problems
  –ensure our customers get top-notch availability and reliability on a particularly bursty system.

• Remain on pace with emerging AI use cases
  –constantly push the boundaries of what is possible

• Bring product intuition
  –iterate and obsess over the customer's experience

• Bachelors or Masters in computer science or an equivalent field, or equivalent practical experience

• 4+ years experience writing application-layer Python for production use

• 2+ years experience writing React + Type Script, or similar for production use

• Experience working with a Postgres database or similar

• Experience writing APIs using a framework such as FastAPI or similar for production use

• Interest or experience in working with a complex AI-driven product, (i.e. streamed outputs, dynamic agentic site navigation, etc)

• Interest or experience in working with PDFs, excel, or file-driven products

• Experience dealing with database scaling problems

• Experience building highly configured or abstracted UIs tied to editable schemas stored in a database

• Experience working with AWS infrastructure or similar

• Experience working at an early-stage startup

• Excited to work on product and work/iterate with customers
