Recruit 121 is currently working exclusively with a manufacturing client who requires an Accounting & Treasury Back Office Manager to join their growing team. This is a brand new position that you can make your mark with and will be on-site in South Wales. This role has a tight time scale so only those on short notice or immediately available need apply.

• Ensuring that all statutory reporting and other external compliance requirements for the Group and its affiliates are completed on time and to a high standard
• Being a key contact and stakeholder for the FP&R and Consolidation teams to support the delivery of timely and good quality month‑end closing and reporting
• Responsibility for establishing improved centralised finance processes resulting in improved efficiency and quality of output including in the following areas:
• Intercompany recharges and netting
• Treasury support
• Transfers of Value reporting
• Chart of account maintenance
• Standard costing roll‑ups
• E1 integrity checking and reporting
• Maintain FX rates in E1
• Operational Accounting process for a new non‑recourse accounts receivable factoring facility
• Supporting the Group Financial Controller, Head of Operational Accounting and the Accounting Managers, as required, with completing month‑end and other tasks as needed
• Supporting the team with ope rationalising a new key controls matrix and following this as appropriate.
• Applying a process improvements mindset and working with the Accounting Managers, Head of Operational accounting and Group Financial Controller to deliver these
• Step in and provide support as needed to other Accounting Managers in the team to complete local audit and financial statement requests
• Providing good quality, complete audit sampling responses to the Group’s external auditors ensuring that deadlines are met

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent
• Finance background: minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a multinational environment
• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals (in particular Dutch GAAP or IFRS)
• Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities with superior numerical skills
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Results driven with the ability to balance other business considerations
• Motivated self‑starter with the ability to function independently and multi‑task
• Strong team working showing ability to collaborate well and positively influence others
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, JDE accounting software experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; other European languages are an advantage but not essential

• Salary: £55,000 to £60,000
• Potential for discretionary bonus of 10%, dependent on group payout and individual performance against objectives
• Pension: employer contribution of 8% with employee contributing minimum of 4%, can be through salary sacrifice
