Veterinary Receptionist

Two of our much-loved veterinary receptionists are retiring, and while we’re sad to see them go, we’re excited to welcome new faces to our friendly, dedicated team. If you’re passionate about delivering excellent customer care to our clients and their pets, this could be the perfect role for you!

As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll help create a warm, welcoming experience for pets and their owners. Your day‑to‑day work will include:

• Greeting clients and checking pets in
• Managing phone calls and appointment bookings
• Assisting with client enquiries
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks
• Keeping the reception area tidy and organised

We have a wonderful practice situated within the South Wales valleys, which provides easy access to both cities (Newport, Cardiff & Bristol) and the countryside. The Brecon Beacons National Park is on our doorstep, providing opportunities for walking, climbing, cycling and horse riding. You will be joining a supportive and caring team with plenty of opportunities for training and development.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, patient, and compassionate
• Excellent at communication and organisation
• Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment
• Keen to learn and happy working as part of a tight‑knit team
• Previous veterinary reception experience is a bonus, but not essential—full training will be provided

2 x positions – Each working 3 x days per week, Monday – Friday (average of 9 hours per day) plus a 1:4 Saturday morning.
