Behaviour Support Assistant Ystrad Mynach Full-time role

Teaching Personnel, in partnership with a specialist school based in the Ystrad Mynach area, are looking to hire a behaviour support assistant to join their team. This particular provision provides education, care and therapy for children aged 3‑19 who have complex learning needs such as Autism, physical disabilities, severe and complex learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be a role model for the pupils, upholding the schools 4 values inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students to help manage their behaviour and emotions effectively, in a safe and secure environment.
  • Assist with the creation of lesson plans, ensuring that the classes are accessible for all pupils.
  • Be able to support the students inside and outside of the classroom, which may include personal care.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
