We’re looking for a talented and driven Senior Management Accountant to join our team and play a key role in financial reporting, team leadership, and strategic support. Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and insightful commentary.
- Support the Finance Manager in the production of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Oversee the integrity of financial data and ensure robust reconciliations of key accounts.
- Prepare and present management information to senior stakeholders, highlighting key trends and risks.
- Act as the primary deputy for the Finance Manager, providing cover during absences and taking the lead on critical finance activities.
- Represent the Finance function at management meetings when required.
- Support strategic decision-making, business planning, and stakeholder communication.
- Supervise, coach, and develop junior accountants and finance assistants, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
- Lead regular one-to-ones, set clear objectives, and support professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA/CIMA).
- Promote process improvements and best practice across the team.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and automate routine tasks across companies.
- Support system upgrades or implementations, ensuring processes remain efficient and well-documented.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
- Professional qualification in ACCA/CIMA or equivalent essential.
- Previous experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced or complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring finance team members.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI/PowerPoint or similar reporting skill is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong technical accounting skills with a process improvement mindset.
