Maintenance Engineer –

Location:

Cwmfelinfach, Newport. Salary: £43,000 per annum.

Shifts:

3-shift rotation (Mornings / Afternoons / Nights). Industry: FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods).

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of a skilled engineering team responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of all production machinery. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement projects to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on production and packaging machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly and safely
• Support production teams to maintain smooth running of equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards

• Time-served or qualified engineer (HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering)
• Previous experience in an FMCG, food, or high-speed manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of PLCs, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics desirable
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
