We have an exciting new opportunity in Newport for the position of Stock Controller in our Warehouse department.
Responsibilities
1. Portray a positive image of the company and its values in a professional manner at all times.
2. Liaise with the Supervisor and planning to generate weekly plans, effectively managing resources on site to ensure overtime & agency costs are minimised.
3. Maintain stock control which delivers 99.9% customer service level.
4. Liaise with 3rd party sites & distribution teams to ensure stock is sent to 3rd party warehouses in timely manner.
5. Ensure 100 % availability of all components and packaging to meet the production plan.
6. Optimise packing efficiencies through a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Minimise distressed stock levels, communicate to commercial any potential excess stock and agree plans to sell through.
8. Maintain works order accuracy, from creating and confirming works orders to factory completion’s and works order closure.
9. Maintain stock accuracy; ensure all parts are planned and packed in strict FIFO order.
10. Carry out cycle counting on Raw Materials, packaging and finished goods in accordance with company perpetual inventory timetable.
11. Act independently to investigate any stock discrepancies in warehouse rack locations.
12. Carry out Stock Control month end procedures.
13. Work within the team, be flexible in both working environment and working to a shift pattern and be able to have a positive input to the team.
14. Provide adequate cover for the site during periods of absence.
15. Adhere to all company rules and procedures, paying particular attention to health and safety.
