This acquisition marks a natural evolution of more than a decade of collaboration, bringing JD Engineers’ expertise under the Alliance umbrella.
In the EMEA region, Alliance operates through its European division, Alliance Machine Systems Europe B.V. (AMSE), headquartered in Bladel, Netherlands and Joure, Netherlands for the JD Engineers operation. Combined, we operate ±90 employees and are focusing on significant growth in the coming years, combining our commercial excellence. For this role we are looking for an Applications Engineer.

Position Overview  The position of Applications Engineer Sales at Alliance Europe is an interesting and challenging role. The candidate will evaluate customer applications, prepare layouts, quotations and support the order fulfilment process for quoted and secured orders. This role could develop into a more sales‑driven position in the future.
To be successful, the applications engineer should have a dedicated and systematic approach to providing exceptional levels of support through technical, planning and organizational skills, great communication and foresight. The role is result‑oriented and encourages a team approach. A high level of skill working with AutoCAD is essential and experience with an ERP and CRM system offers a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities   Collaborate positively with the AMSE Team, embodying the Vision, Mission and Values and committing to the delivery of our strategic planning process.
Work closely with the Sales Team in assessing written documents and specifications to create solutions that satisfy customer application requirements.
Support the Sales Team by preparing floor plans, cost estimates and price quotations, and responding to formal RFQs in a professional and expedient manner.
Provide technical advice regarding choices within projects and safety within a layout solution.
Translate technical customer specifications and data sheets into workable AMSE product‑ and project specifications and project layout.
Support Field Service Technicians throughout the installation process and review installation packages to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with the Service and Engineering Department to process retrofit quotes and order requests.
Maintain external supplier relationships for coordination of specifications, pricing and delivery.
Support projects technically from start to finish.
Ensure that suitable risk assessment and contingency planning takes place.
Act as a change champion for the creation, development and introduction of a culture of service.
Make complex technical decisions based on sometimes conflicting information sources to benefit the AMSE business, recognising that a drive for results is crucial through ownership of company and departmental KPIs.
Comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
