Overview
Bay Ready Mix is actively seeking skilled diesel mechanics to join our team in the Jessup, Maryland area. This position is essential for maintaining our fleet of medium and heavy-duty trucks, as well as material handling and construction equipment.
Position OverviewThe ideal candidate will bring knowledge and hands-on expertise in vehicle maintenance, focusing on preventive maintenance (PM), follow-up repairs, and hydraulic systems. An understanding of DOT inspection compliance is also a crucial aspect of this role.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and follow-up repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks, material handling equipment, and construction equipment.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and related components.
- Ensure compliance with DOT inspection requirements.
Reasonable Suspicion Testing policy:
Any employee displaying signs of being under the influence will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. Determination of reasonable suspicion must be based on specific, contemporaneous observations concerning appearance, behavior, speech or body odor.
Managers/supervisors must ensure employees are physically and mentally able to perform duties. Employees are encouraged to report concerns about a coworker’s ability to perform to their supervisor confidentially.
