Responsibilities- Assist orthodontists during orthodontic procedures, including placing and removing orthodontic brackets, archwires, and bands
- Take accurate scans/impressions of the patient s teeth for the creation of orthodontic appliances
- Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide instructions for appliance care
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment charts, progress notes, and digital imaging
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Keep up-to-date with the latest orthodontic techniques and procedures through continuing education
- An Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
- Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
- Previous experience working as an orthodontic assistant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials
- Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of dental software
Compensation: $30 - $35 hourly
