Hiring a Manufacturing Engineer located near Lino Lakes MN lead validation and process improvement efforts in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an experienced, hands‑on engineer who enjoys supporting new equipment implementation, reducing non‑conformances, and improving manufacturing capability and efficiency. It’s a visible position with opportunities to grow into management or advanced technical leadership while making a direct impact on the team.
Responsibilities- Involvement in setting up new equipment, capital projects, and setting up and layout planning of machines
- Lead implementation of new manufacturing equipment (including vendor coordination and installation support)
- Develop and document experiments for process development or improvement
- Lead root cause investigations and reduce non‑conformances
- Identify and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Support statistical analysis (process capability, DOE, gage R&R)
- Work with machinists and operators to troubleshoot issues on the floor
- Improve work instructions and visual aids to align with drawing and spec requirements
- Participate in morning team meetings and daily problem‑solving
- Review customer prints and support manufacturability feedback
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and precision machining for medical OEM components.
- Assist with product transfers and customer change notifications.
- Participate in capital equipment installation and validation projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in medical manufacturing or machining environments
- Familiar with mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment
- Exposure to special processes, passivation, electropolishing, laser welding, EDM drilling, Swiss machining, and mill‑turn.
- Familiarity with ERP/ MRP systems, Solid Works, and CAM tools (Master
CAM, Solid
CAM) - Validation support to write and execute protocols (Gage R&R)
