Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mechanical Drafter / Design Technician to join our Engineering team. This role will support the design, development, and documentation of specialty regulators, valves, manifolds, and custom fluid control solutions used across aerospace, semiconductor, industrial gas, analytical instrumentation, energy, hydrogen, research, and many other high-performance industries. We provide both standard products and custom-engineered solutions for customers worldwide.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, manufacturing, quality, and sales teams to create accurate drawings, maintain product documentation, and help bring new products from concept to production.

In addition to traditional drafting responsibilities, this role offers opportunities to support product development, create custom 3D-printed fixtures and tooling, and contribute to manufacturing and marking processes through laser engraving layouts, fixture design, and process improvements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, technical design, and seeing products move from ideas on a screen to parts being manufactured right here in our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain detailed part, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Generate and revise 3D CAD models and assemblies.
  • Produce bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
  • Process engineering change requests (ECRs) and drawing revisions.
  • Ensure drawings comply with ASME and CGA standards and internal documentation practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve product designs and manufacturability.
  • Support collection, analysis, and documentation of product performance data, including flow curve generation, pressure regulation characteristics, and test results used for product validation and customer documentation.
  • Create, prototype, and iterate fixture designs utilizing in-house 3D printing capabilities.
  • Support the setup, implementation, and operation of laser engraving processes through layout creation, fixture design, and documentation.
  • Support product development initiatives and custom-engineered customer solutions.
  • Assist with prototype builds, design reviews, and validation activities as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Solid Works preferred).
  • Ability to create clear and accurate manufacturing drawings.
  • Understanding of machining processes and manufacturing methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with document control practices and engineering change management.
  • Experience designing fixtures, tooling, or work holding solutions.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technologies.
  • Familiarity with pressure systems, valves, regulators, fluid controls, or related products.
  • Basic understanding of CNC machining capabilities and manufacturing constraints.
  • Experience supporting new product development projects.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional visits to manufacturing areas with exposure to machinery and noise.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to inspect small components and engineering drawings with a high degree of accuracy.
