Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee our automotive service and detail department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair, along with excellent leadership skills to manage a team of service technicians and detail employees.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the service and detail department, ensuring efficient workflow processes are utilized and providing leadership to maximize productivity.
  • Supervise and train service technicians and detail employees.
  • Improve utilization of Tekmetric and improve related processes and reporting including service activity profitability reporting and inventory management.
  • Responsible for organization of shop.
  • Manage the flow of service department paperwork, including manuals, invoices, repair orders, and maintenance records.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments.
  • Contribute to goal setting for employees and lead quarterly performance review discussions with employees.
  • Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, automotive repair and vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage a diverse team of service technicians and detail employees.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and staff alike.
