Job Details
Location:
Blair, Nebraska
Salary: $32.20‑$37.88 per hour (up to $37.88 depending on experience)
Hours:
Mon‑Thurs or Tues‑Fri, 7 a.m.‑5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Work in a team‑oriented and safety‑conscious environment, following PJHA process, Observation process, and all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power‑driven rotating equipment according to established standards.
- Work both under direct supervision and independently, as required.
- Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures, and provide work‑order feedback on discrepancies.
- Use hand and power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipe fitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, preventive/predictive maintenance techniques.
- Operate simple and complex heavy industrial equipment, such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
- Work from elevated areas with fall protection as necessary.
- Work all shifts, including holidays and weekends, as demanded.
- Maintain company/customer regulatory compliance, performance expectations, and positive relations with customers and employees.
- Perform accurate administrative duties: time accounting and work‑order completion.
- Maintain personal tool list and keep tools in good condition.
Qualifications
- High‑school diploma or approved GED; AA in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, or 4+ years of education in industrial maintenance technologies/engineering.
Physical Demands
- Observe details at close range.
- Control machine or vehicle precision.
- Manual dexterity for assembly.
- Substantial lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Extended or continuous time on feet.
- Ascend and descend stairs, ladders, step stools.
- Operate hand, power tools, and equipment safely.
- Operate forklifts or other vehicles safely.
- Wear respirator, if required.
- Communicate effectively.
- Arrange tasks in logical order.
Work Environment
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration; occasional exposure to extreme heat/cold, wet or humid conditions; loud noise. Enclosed within an industrial setting.
