Oil and Gas Revenue Accountant (CPA Preferred)

Ezekiel Exploration is seeking an Oil & Gas Revenue Accountant to join our growing organization. Candidates should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working in oil & gas accounting. Candidates with CPA credentials or strong revenue accounting backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Perform full-cycle revenue accounting for all wells, including monthly revenue distribution, royalty and working interest ownership verification, and revenue accruals.
- Reconcile production volumes, purchaser statements, run-tickets, gas plant statements, and pipeline allocations.
- Process and issue owner revenue payments, maintain accurate owner master files, and address owner inquiries.
- Prepare and file state and federal production, severance, and royalty reports, including Oklahoma, Texas, and other applicable jurisdictions.
- Review and interpret division orders, title documentation, JIB ownership, and interest decks to ensure accurate distribution.
- Coordinate with operations, land, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies in volumes, pricing, ownership, and pay status.
- Support preparation for audits, internal reviews, regulatory examinations, and provide documentation as needed.
- Ensure timely month-end close, revenue reconciliation, and financial reporting consistent with company policies and industry standards.
- Other duties as required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Interpret complex ownership, title, and revenue data.
- Excel proficiency; strong MS Office skills.
- Written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborate with operations, land, legal, and finance.
- Knowledge of oil and gas tax, revenue, accounting principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of oil & gas accounting experience (revenue experience preferred).
- Hybrid work on-site at our Blanchard, OK headquarters as required (3 days a week).
- CPA or CPA-eligible.
- Familiarity with Oklahoma and Texas regulatory filings.
- Experience with operated working-interest revenue accounting.
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting software.
