A Special Educational Needs Residential School in Blandford Forum is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The Role

You will be supporting classroom teachers in providing the best learning environment possible for pupils aged 7-19 years old, with specific SEND/ additional needs:

  • Primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
  • Co‑existing conditions
  • Complex needs
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Severe learning difficulties
  • All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCPs)

Who We Are Looking For
  • Relevant experience in similar educational/ care settings
  • Driving licence beneficial if you live outside of Blandford Forum
  • Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
  • Able to de‑escalate challenging situations calmly and safely
