SEN Teacher - Blandford Forum

Full-time Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our specialist education setting. Our young people all have a diagnosis of ASD, and many have additional complex needs. Every learner receives either 1:1 or 2:1 staffing at all times, ensuring a safe, supportive and highly individualised learning environment.

As our SEN Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver motivating, personalised learning experiences for children and young people with ASD.
• Create a structured, nurturing environment that supports communication, emotional regulation and independence.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, support staff and families to ensure consistent, holistic support.
• Lead and model best practice in behaviour support and safeguarding.
• Use assessment tools to track progress and adapt plans to meet individual needs.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly ASD.
• An understanding of sensory needs, communication differences and positive behaviour support.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive, forward-thinking team.

• High staffing ratios enabling meaningful, individualised teaching.
