We’re hiring a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our engineering team at our modern brewery site in Blandford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer / shift engineer looking for a stable, long-term role with no night shifts

• £42,000 per year
• Annual profit share bonus

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems (steam, compressed air, hydraulics, cooling, water systems)
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards (
  PSSR, LOLER
  )
• Complete calibration schedules and regulatory checks
• Support continuous improvement and reduce downtime
• Diagnose faults quickly to maintain production
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS / IT systems
• Promote health & safety best practice on site

• Minimum 3
  years engineering experience (FMCG, food, beverage, or manufacturing)
• Mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Steam systems
  • Hydraulics
  • Compressed air
  • Cooling systems
  • Water systems
• Hands-on skills:
  welding, fabrication, bench fitting
• Knowledge of engineering compliance (
  PSSR, LOLER
  )
• Ability to prioritise maintenance tasks and manage workload
• Good IT skills (MS Office / maintenance systems)
• Team player with a proactive approach
