Solderer – PCB ​/ Cable Assembly

Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Friday: 9.00am - 4.00pm

We are recruiting for a Permanent Solderer to join a long-established electronics manufacturer based in Blandford Forum, Dorset
.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and growing production team manufacturing high-quality electronic assemblies. We welcome applications from candidates with any level of PCB or cable soldering experience
, whether you've recently gained your skills or have many years of experience.

Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electronic assemblies to customer specifications.

Your duties will include:

• Soldering printed circuit boards (PCBs) and/or cable assemblies.
• Working from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
• Carrying out through-hole soldering and cable termination.
• Inspecting your own work to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
• Assembling electronic components and sub-assemblies.
• Identifying and reporting any quality issues.
• Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous PCB or cable soldering experience at any level.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• The ability to follow engineering drawings or assembly instructions.
• A commitment to producing high-quality work.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a production team.

IPC certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
