Procurement Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Analyst to join a well-established commercial organisation on a 9-month interim contract. Based in Milton Keynes, this hybrid role offers the chance to work within a dynamic procurement function, delivering critical spend analysis, reporting, and insights that support strategic business decisions.

This position is ideal for a data-driven procurement professional who enjoys turning complex information into actionable commercial recommendations.

Your new role

As Procurement Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting procurement and commercial teams through robust analysis, reporting, and supplier performance insights.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing spend analysis, procurement dashboards, KPI reporting, and management information
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities, supplier trends, and procurement risks through data analysis
• Supporting sourcing and category management initiatives with market and spend insights
• Maintaining procurement data, supplier records, and reporting accuracy
• Developing reports and presentations for procurement and senior stakeholders
• Monitoring supplier performance and contract compliance metrics
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes and systems
• Collaborating with stakeholders across finance, procurement, and operational teams

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Procurement Analyst, Procurement Support, Spend Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or Purchasing Analyst role
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, reporting, and data manipulation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience working with procurement, finance, or ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• CIPS qualification or progression towards CIPS would be advantageous
