Lead Teaching Assistant – Care Tech (Bletchley)
Apply for the Lead Teaching Assistant role position is full‑time, permanent, and part of the Bletchley Park specialist school.
Location: Bletchley
Contract: Term Time, Full Time
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:30)
Salary: £22,662.38
Closing Date: Friday 26 December 2025
Work weeks per year: 39 weeks including training days
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside teachers in planning and preparing classroom work.
- Provide learning activities for students both on and off site.
- Support students with formal learning, self‑help skills, life skills and social understanding; assess their progress regularly.
- Organise teaching assistants within the class to create a bespoke timetable that meets each individual's needs.
Qualifications and experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Calm under pressure.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- The ability to lead and be led.
- Experience of working with young people with additional needs, preferably with autism spectrum.
- Good organisational skills.
- Experience and knowledge of learning disabilities and/or special needs.
Person specification
- Highly motivated, well organised, resourceful, and flexible.
- Patient, energetic, and genuinely concerned to improve the quality of life for young people in care.
Contract details
- 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri 08:30–16:30), term time only.
