Food Production Operative

To support the efficient production of food products by carrying out a range of food handling and production tasks while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling, preparing, and processing food products in line with production requirements

• Operating basic food production machinery and equipment (training provided where necessary)

• Packing, labelling, and checking finished products to ensure quality standards are met

• Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times

• Maintaining cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and production lines

• Carrying out quality checks and reporting any issues or faults to supervisors

• Working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines

• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential

• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
