Availability & Hours

We require you to be available during the following times:
Sun 12:00–21:00, Tue 14:00–23:00, Fri 10:00–16:00. Please note that you must be available during at least some of these times; we will schedule your shifts within these windows, giving you a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with the option to work fewer hours (minimum 12 hours) if desired.

Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 per hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25.

We are looking for dedicated teammates to help serve customers in a Tesco store. This role offers flexibility and stability, and may be an excellent fit for those looking to progress their career.

• Serve shoppers every day, ensuring they receive great natural service.
• Work across the store – service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
• Apply training to work safely, effectively and service customers brilliantly.
• Make decisions in the best interest of customers and deliver routines that meet their needs.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
• Understand store performance, reducing waste and shrink to drive profit.
• Handle products carefully to maintain quality.
• Live Tesco values, making everyone feel welcome and following policy.
• Occasionally accept deliveries into the store.

• You must be over 18 to apply.
• You must have passed the school leaver’s age in your country.
• Passionate about delivering great service and greeting customers with a smile.
• Ability to build rapport with customers, ensuring they leave with a great shopping experience.
• Show initiative and make decisions that are right for customers.
• Work well within a team and communicate openly.
• Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
• Be punctual, well presented and a brand ambassador.
• Suitable for roles requiring early morning, late evening, or operating in specific store areas such as warehouse, booze, bakery, counters, driving.
