HGV Vehicle Technician

What you’ll be doing

• You’ll be working on our large HGV fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both DVSA and Partnership requirements.
• Ensure all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations and reported accurately using Key2 fleet management programme.
• Apply best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to carry out high‑quality, cost‑effective repairs, ensuring spare parts and consumables are used appropriately.

• City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications.
• Full UK Manual driving licence

• Proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.

• IRTEC qualification.
• LGV licence.
• C+E driving licence.

Full‑time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota, with Saturday mornings worked one week in two.

Week 1:
Monday to Friday 06:00‑14:00.

Week 2:
Monday to Thursday 14:00‑22:00;
Friday 13:00‑21:00.

Salary up to £55,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, with overtime readily available.

Evening premium 18:00‑22:00 at £3.25 per hour; night premium 22:00‑06:00 at £4.25 per hour.
