Position: CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT-PRIVATE SECTOR

The candidate will be working under the direction of the Head accountant and coordinate the daily activities of the accounting staff to quickly and accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the Company and other entities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Analysing trial balance accounts identifying errors and raising journals.

Balance sheet and nominal accounts reconciliations.

Maintain an organised set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.

Resolves complex accounting issues.

Prepare annual financial statements, audit files and ad hoc financial reports.

Supervise, direct, and review the work of the accounting staff.

Monthly Payroll review, oversight and submission of SARS returns.

Monthly VAT review, oversight and submission of SARS returns.

COIDA (Workmen’s Compensation Return of Earnings submissions).

Calculations and Completion of Provisional and Income Tax Returns, E-filing Administration, submitting supporting documents.

Prepare, analysing, interpreting & presenting of management statements.

Compiling Budgets and Forecasts.

Compiling and monitoring of cash flow.
