SAIPA Trainee Accountant

A professional accounting and advisory firm is seeking a SAIPA Trainee Accountant to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated accounting graduate who is looking to complete SAIPA articles while gaining practical exposure to accounting, taxation, and financial administration in a professional practice environment.

• Assist with monthly bookkeeping and processing of transactions.
• Prepare bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
• Assist with VAT, PAYE, and income tax submissions.
• Maintain accurate client records and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with clients and SARS regarding routine accounting and tax matters.

• BCom Accounting, BCompt, or a SAIPA-accredited qualification.
• Intention to register for or complete SAIPA articles.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and taxation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage, Xero, Pastel, or similar accounting software will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
