About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and dedicated Arts Administrator & Program Coordinator to support their cultural initiatives in Welkom . This role is central to the smooth operation of arts programs, managing administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and facilitating communication between artists, participants, and the organization. You will be instrumental in ensuring that artistic programs are delivered effectively and efficiently, contributing to the cultural enrichment of the Free State .
The ideal candidate is passionate about the arts, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Manage day-to-day administrative operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Coordinate logistics for workshops, performances, and other arts programs, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for artists, participants, and stakeholders, providing information and support.
- Assist with the development and implementation of program budgets and manage related expenses.
- Support marketing and outreach efforts for arts programs, including content creation and social media updates.
- Maintain databases and ensure accurate data management for program participants and activities.
- Proven experience in arts administration or program coordination, preferably within a non-profit or cultural organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and basic database management.
- A genuine passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting artistic development and community engagement in Welkom .
- Experience with grant writing or fundraising is a plus.
