About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Manager to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental performance for their operations near Bloemfontein. This critical leadership role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining robust HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and minimize environmental impact within the Oil & Gas sector. You will be instrumental in fostering a strong safety culture across all operational sites and ensuring compliance with national and international HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE management systems and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and regulations.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all employees and contractors.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSE strategies.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment techniques and incident investigation methodologies.
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
