Foreman; Civil Engineering

Introduction

Lead crews to deliver earthworks, concrete and services to programme, and safety standards.

• Plan daywork; coordinate plant, labour and materials for productivity.
• Set out works with survey; read/interpret drawings and inspection and test plans.
• Monitor workmanship and quality as well as compile daily progress reports.
• Enforce safety rules and housekeeping.

• 3+ years’ experience in foreman experience civil construction, earthworks, roads or general site foreman duties
• Strong people management and production focus.
• Ability to work in remote locations.
• Comply with RSA labour and employment laws
• Ensure safe systems of work, incident reporting and corrective actions (OHSA).
• Full understanding of construction drawings and specifications and correctly plan construction layout accordingly.
• Strong Supervisory and Leadership Competence
• Strong Safety Competency and Knowledge of Legal Obligations
• Quality Control and Compliance Oversight
• Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities
• Responsible for preparation of reports, site records, and communication with management.
• Ability to proactively solve problems, maintain professionalism, and guide teams.
