About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to oversee a portfolio of civil engineering projects in Bloemfontein . This senior role is responsible for the effective planning, execution, and completion of construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations.

- Develop and implement detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets for civil engineering projects.
- Manage all site activities, including resource allocation, subcontractor coordination, and progress monitoring.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality control procedures, and environmental standards on site.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, managing inventory and logistics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities throughout the construction phase.
- Resolve site issues, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a significant portion in civil infrastructure.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) is advantageous.
