Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Project Manager - Construction to oversee significant building projects in Bloemfontein. This role requires a hands‑on leader responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects from planning and design through to completion. You will ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while managing budgets and timelines effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a proven ability to coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, and clients to achieve project objectives in a demanding, site‑focused environment.

• Manage day‑to‑day on‑site construction operations and oversee project schedules.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and controlling costs.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
• Liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven experience managing commercial and/or residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building materials, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and construction scheduling tools.
