About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Foreman to lead on-site operations for diverse building projects in Bloemfontein . As a key leader on the ground, you will be responsible for supervising tradespeople, coordinating daily tasks, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and maintaining the quality of workmanship. Your practical expertise and leadership abilities will be crucial in driving project efficiency and ensuring the successful completion of construction work.
This role is ideal for an individual with a strong hands-on background and a passion for building.
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of all site personnel, including trades, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all construction work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Interpret construction drawings and technical documents, providing clear instructions to the site crew.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting daily toolbox talks.
- Coordinate the delivery and staging of materials and equipment on site.
- Monitor progress, report on daily activities, and identify any potential delays or issues to the project manager.
- Extensive practical experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of various construction trades, methods, and materials.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of construction workers.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Experience working on diverse projects in the Bloemfontein area is preferred.
