Construction Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Project Manager to oversee civil infrastructure projects in Bloemfontein. This crucial role involves managing all aspects of project execution, from initial planning and procurement to site supervision and final handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction methodologies, and a proven ability to manage complex projects and diverse teams in the Free State region.

• Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Oversee all site operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project personnel.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
• Manage project financials, including cost control, invoicing, and change order management.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on civil infrastructure.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within the Bloemfontein area.
