About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Residential Architect to design beautiful and functional homes in and around Bloemfontein . This role involves working closely with homeowners to bring their dream residences to life, from initial sketches to final walkthroughs. You will manage projects through all phases, ensuring high-quality design, efficient space planning, and adherence to budget and timeline. Key Responsibilities- Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for residential projects.
- Develop architectural designs, floor plans, and elevations for new homes and renovations.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and documentation for building permits and construction.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, contractors, and other consultants throughout the design and construction process.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Provide design expertise and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
- Degree in Architecture and registration with SACAP.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in designing residential buildings , including custom homes and renovations.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit , AutoCAD, and rendering tools.
- Strong understanding of residential building codes, construction techniques, and material applications.
- Excellent client communication and project management skills.
- A portfolio showcasing high-quality residential design work is essential.
