Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accountancy (Job ) – Permanent, Junior Management.
Location:
Bloemfontein Campus, Bloemfontein, FS ZA.

RequirementsSubmit all documents listed under the inherent requirements as well as the following standard documentation:
- Detaied Curriculum Vitae.
- Copies of your qualifications, or official proof of qualifications (incl. SAQA accreditation for foreign qualifications).
- Copy of your (South African passport).
- Confirmation of employment (letter, contract, service certificate or recent payslip) for external applicants.
- Teach, coordinate and assess Accounting/Financial Accounting modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Develop students' digital acumen and other graduate attributes.
- Contribute to curriculum development aligning with professional accountancy bodies and changing industry needs.
- Advance pedagogical practices in the School of Accountancy.
- Conduct research and publish in quality journals.
- Attend and present at conferences, workshops and seminars.
- Build and maintain relationships with research community, profession and bodies for collaborations.
- Perform administrative duties within the School.
- For Senior Lecturer: exercise academic leadership, oversee quality assurance, supervise postgraduate students, mentor junior staff.
- Master’s degree at NQF Level 9 in Accountancy or related discipline.
- Or Chartered Accountant (SA) holding NQF Level 8 qualification in Accountancy.
- Good academic record (attach copy).
- PhD at NQF Level 10 in Accountancy or related discipline.
- Or Chartered Accountant (SA) holding Master’s degree at NQF Level 9 in Accountancy.
- Proven experience facilitating learning in accountancy.
- Significant contributions to knowledge in higher education or accountancy‑in‑business.
- High‑quality publications or reports in the field.
- Practical experience in Accountancy.
- Recent lecturing experience at higher education institution.
- Scholarly publication record.
- Membership in professional accountancy bodies (attach proof).
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Strong potential to obtain a PhD if not yet earned.
- Proactive participation in strategic projects of the School.
- Willingness to serve on the School management team.
- Membership in relevant professional accountancy bodies.
- Results‑oriented – set high standards and achieve success.
- Reliability – dependable and fulfill obligations.
- Strategic thinking – focus on details and creative problem solving.
- Business acumen – adhere to rules and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong communication skills.
- Leadership – guide teams and provide direction.
- Collaboration – build coalitions and be cooperative.
