About the Role

Our client is looking for a nurturing and energetic Early Childhood Development (ECD) Practitioner to lead a classroom of young children in Welkom . This role involves creating a stimulating and safe environment where preschoolers can explore, learn, and grow through play-based activities. You will be instrumental in fostering early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills, preparing children for their primary school journey in the Free State province.

This is a hands-on position requiring creativity and a deep understanding of child development principles.

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom routines and behavior effectively, fostering positive social interactions.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and learning experiences.

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (e.g., NQF Level 4 or
  5).
• Previous experience working with young children in an ECD setting.
• Sound knowledge of child development principles and play-based learning methodologies.
• Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
