Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher

Our client, an international primary school located in Bloemfontein , is seeking a dynamic and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher. This role is responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for children aged 3-5 years, following the established EYFS curriculum. You will be instrumental in fostering the holistic development of young learners, focusing on their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, possesses strong classroom management skills, and is adept at differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students. This is an in-person position requiring a dedicated educator to inspire and guide our youngest students. You will be a key figure in shaping their foundational educational experiences, encouraging a love for learning and exploration within a vibrant school community.

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
• Assess children's learning through ongoing observation and formative assessment techniques.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive social interactions.
• Provide for the physical and emotional needs of the children.
• Integrate learning through play and other child-centered methodologies.
• Collaborate with other EYFS teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive curriculum.
• Participate in school events and professional development activities.

• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Education, PGCE) with a specialization in Early Childhood Education.
• Experience teaching within an EYFS framework or equivalent early years program.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Early Years Teacher.
• Thorough understanding of child development and learning theories for young children.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in South Africa.
