About the Role
Our client is seeking an insightful Energy Systems Analyst to join their team in Bloemfontein. This role focuses on evaluating and optimizing energy generation and distribution systems, with a particular emphasis on integrating renewable sources and improving energy efficiency. You will conduct detailed data analysis, model system performance, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance the reliability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of energy infrastructure.
Contribute to shaping the energy landscape of the Free State province by working on critical projects that drive energy innovation and security.
- Analyze data related to energy generation, consumption, and grid performance.
- Develop and utilize energy system models to simulate various scenarios and predict outcomes.
- Evaluate the integration of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind) into existing energy systems.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and cost reduction strategies.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing analysis findings and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineers, policymakers, and stakeholders to implement optimized energy solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical), Environmental Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy analysis, system modeling, or energy management.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Python, R) and simulation platforms.
- Strong understanding of energy markets, renewable energy technologies, and power systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment in Bloemfontein .
