Senior Grid Operations Analyst

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Grid Operations Analyst to join their remote team, supporting operations that are critical to the national energy infrastructure. This position involves advanced monitoring, analysis, and forecasting of grid performance to ensure reliability and efficiency. You will leverage sophisticated modeling tools and data analytics to identify potential issues, optimize power flow, and support strategic decision-making for grid management.

• Monitor real-time grid performance, analyzing load, generation, and transmission data.
• Conduct advanced power flow studies and stability analyses to predict and prevent operational issues.
• Develop and refine forecasting models for energy demand and supply.
• Identify and report on anomalies, performance trends, and potential risks to grid reliability.
• Collaborate with grid operators and planning engineers to optimize system operations.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new analytical tools and methodologies.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in power systems analysis, grid operations, or a related role.
• Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, Power World) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R).
• Strong understanding of power system dynamics, market operations, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
