Mechanical Engineer II

About the Role

Our client is seeking a capable and motivated Mechanical Engineer II to join their established team in Bloemfontein . This role involves contributing to the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems used in a variety of applications. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, applying your technical knowledge to solve design challenges and ensure product quality.

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD software.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions.
• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including drawings , BOMs, and test procedures.
• Participate in the testing and validation of prototypes and production units to ensure they meet design specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to address design-related issues and implement improvements.
• Support senior engineers on larger projects and take ownership of specific design tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works) is required.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information clearly.
