About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to contribute to major infrastructure and building projects in Bloemfontein . This role requires extensive technical expertise in civil engineering design, analysis, and project management, operating within a hybrid model that offers flexibility. You will lead design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong commitment to engineering excellence and client satisfaction, looking to make a significant impact on the region's development.
- Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including site development, infrastructure, and transportation systems.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, often in coordination with remote team members.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical reviews.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering their professional development.
- Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Expertise in geotechnical engineering , structural analysis, and water resource management.
- Proven ability to lead projects and teams in a hybrid work environment within Free State .
