About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and organized Civil Project Engineer to join their team in Bloemfontein . This role involves managing the planning, execution, and completion of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle.
This hybrid position offers the best of both worlds: focused collaboration in the office and the flexibility to work remotely, allowing for effective project oversight and contribution to significant infrastructure development within the Free State province.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.
- Coordinate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with all project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, and other stakeholders, both in-person and remotely.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the civil engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software .
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a hybrid work environment.
