Our client requires a meticulous and skilled Mine Surveyor for their operations near Welkom. This position is vital for ensuring the accuracy of mine development, excavation, and production measurements. You will utilize advanced surveying equipment and techniques to create and maintain digital models of the mine, providing essential data for planning and execution. • Conduct precise surface and underground surveys to establish control points and boundaries.
• Utilize Total Stations, GPS, and laser scanning technology for data acquisition.
• Prepare and update mine plans, sections, and digital terrain models.
• Calculate volumes of ore, waste, and excavations accurately.
• Monitor mine deformation and report any significant changes or risks.
• Collaborate with geologists and engineers to integrate survey data into mine planning.

• National Diploma or Degree in Surveying or Geomatics.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, preferably in underground mining.
• Proficiency with mining-specific surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Deswik).
• Experience operating and maintaining advanced surveying instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all measurements and calculations.
• Knowledge of relevant South African mining survey regulations.
