About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a focus on automotive systems to join their innovative team in Welkom . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and testing of advanced automotive components and subsystems. You will play a crucial part in enhancing vehicle performance, efficiency, and durability. Working within a collaborative environment, you will interface with design, testing, and manufacturing departments to bring cutting-edge automotive technologies to fruition, benefiting from both office-based teamwork and remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components for automotive applications, including powertrain, chassis, or thermal management systems.
- Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to create and analyze designs.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of components and systems to ensure performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, on integrated system design.
- Troubleshoot design issues and propose innovative solutions to improve product performance and manufacturability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in automotive component design and analysis techniques.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Strong understanding of automotive standards and regulations.
